Join Toni Braxton for LA's 'Walk to End Lupus Now' Event This Weekend

On September 30th, hundreds of Lupus warriors and advocates from around Los Angeles will be walking to raise awareness about this silent disease. Located at LA LIVE, participants will unite as one community and walk 1.17 miles starting at starts at LA Live on Chick Hearn Ct. and Figueroa between Crypto.com Arena and Microsoft Square.

It was just announced that Toni Braxton will be attending the walk as a fellow Lupus warrior herself. The Grammy-winning singer, producer and actress told CBS that she was diagnosed with systemic lupus 15 years ago.

"I've had some serious health complications, including now it's starting to affect my kidneys. ... My skin, my hair, my heart, my vital organs are starting to become affected," she said, according to CBS News. "I love performing. I love touring, but I know I can't do six to seven shows a week. My body's not gonna let me do that. But I always try to find the silver lining. Maybe I can do two to three shows a week."

So, if you are a lupus warrior or no someone who has lupus, come join us this Saturday! You can start your own team, register as an individual, or join 'Team Kayla.'
