At least eleven people have been injured after a vehicle plowed into an Alabama Mardi Gras parade today. It happened in the city of Gulf Shores, just south of Mobile. The victims were all members of the Gulf Shores High School marching band and injuries ranged from broken bones to internal injuries.
There are unconfirmed reports the driver of the vehicle said his foot became stuck on the accelerator. Video of the scene shows several ambulances on scene with patients on stretchers being treated. A spokesperson for the city of Gulf Shores says the injured were struck from behind.
