Moore County Power Outtage Caused by Intentional Attack

A state of emergency is in effect and a mandatory curfew has been issued in Moore County, North Carolina. That's after authorities say thousands of customers have lost power after two electrical substations were damaged by gunfire Saturday night. It's being investigated as a "criminal occurrence" after crews found signs of intentional vandalism. Duke Energy officials say the outage has affected some 40-thousand-people and some of those without power could remain so until Thursday.
