We've all been there with non-buyers remorse: You see that super colorful blouse or dress at the store and really want it, but can't picture how to make it work with your wardrobe so you pass it up. Never again! If you fall in love with a piece while you are out and about, run to the checkout with it in hand knowing you can make any piece work! The trick is to pick out one or two colors in your super vibrant find to match other aspects of your outfit. Take the one I am wearing above as a perfect example. I chose black (a good universal basic color) and red. My undershirt ties in the dress-turned-cardigan with the belt I wrapped around myself. I could've also worn black pants instead, but decided for a more colorful approach and wore my red metallic pants. Extra point if I would've also matched my necklace to my pants with maybe some chunky red beads. But I decided to go with a long silver chain. As long as you use basic pieces to help tie in your super busy piece, you'll look like a million bucks.
The cardigan/dress is from Dangerfield. My metallic pants are from Modcloth!
