So you just graduated college, but you are a little strapped for cash right now. Did you know you can attend college in the Triad for free? Well really, any community college in the state of North Carolina. Any student who wants to attend their first two years of community college can now do so for free. The Longleaf Commitment grant will allow North Carolina high school graduates to choose from the state's nearly 60 community colleges to complete their first two years.
Students who graduated high school in 2021 and 2022 are able to apply! If they meet the eligibility requirements, their tuition and fees will be covered. All students have to do is complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid each year and see if they qualify.
