I know I know....I'm finally able to share my wedding photos and video with all of my listeners. So here it goes!!! On October 19th, 2019 I got to marry my favorite human in the world, the most selfless and hardworking man I know, Alex Craig!
When people ask me how my wedding went, I keep using the word magical. The entire day/night was absolutely unreal. I keep thinking it was all a dream! Everything went absolutely perfect and the rain even held out until our send off. It was amazing to see my vision come to life!! I want to thank every one of our family members and friends who came from all corners of the USA. We even had friends from Canada, Australia and Belgium. I want to thank our parents for being so supportive and loving. To Alex's groomsmen and my bridesmaids, we couldn't have done it without you all by our sides. We love you so so much. Now the hit of the whole wedding goes out to my almost 99 year old Grandma. Below is a little something that you will see featured in Triad's Wedding Magazine about my Grandma.
“My Grandma turns 99 on Christmas Day. She let me know in the early wedding planning stages that she would be unable to attend. She said it would be too difficult to maneuver and she has issues in general getting out of her comfort zone. I went to see her a few days before the wedding and she returned to me a pearl bracelet that I had gifted her years ago to be my “something borrowed”. Fast forward a few days, I was in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids telling them about my Grandma’s bracelet and wishing she was there. Little did I know my Grandma was 500 feet away waiting to surprise me. It wasn’t until after Alex and I said “I do” that I turned and saw her. After regaining my composure, I gave her the biggest hug ever. There wasn’t a dry eye at the ceremony. I have never felt so much love in one place as I did on my wedding day. The moment I saw my Grandma sitting in the front row, with all of my family and friends looking on, is hands down one of the best and most important moments of my life.”
The best advice we received the night of our wedding was to take 5 minutes and step away from the reception, just the two of us and take it all in. Take in the scenery and our family and friends that all came there to celebrate the two of us. Take a moment of silence with each other! I will never forget this!
We couldn't be more happy with our vendors and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for helping us pull off the best day of our lives! Also a HUGE shout out to Triad Weddings Magazine because our planning all starting with their incredible wedding show Marry Me-The Triad's Premier Wedding Planning Event. By the way if you are currently planning your wedding you are in luck because Triad Weddings Magazine has a Marry Me event at Legacy Stables and Events on January 19th. My advice is to go and talk to every vendor. They have the most professional vendors and it's such a great start if you are lost like I was with the planning process!
