Kelly Clarkson Reveals The Hardest Part Of Her 'Horrible' Divorce

Kelly Clarkson is having a tough time amid her ongoing divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock.

On Tuesday (December 1), Clarkson, 38, spoke with Alicia Keys and Untamed author Glennon Doyle about the topic and it appears as if The Voice judge has concerned about how her children are handling the process. She and Blackson share daughter, River, and son, Remington.

"Glennon, you write about the public fallout from your divorce. I’m obviously going through one right now. It’s horrible. There are so many hard parts. The hardest for me is the kids," the singer confessed in a preview of the episode. "You know, I think as women especially, we’re trained—Alicia and I were talking earlier—to take it all on, and you can deal with it, and you're fine, but it's your babies that you worry about."

After sharing her own take, Clarkson, who was recently awarded primary custody of the children, pivoted the question over to Doyle, but you'll have to tune into the episode to hear what the Untamed author said about her experience.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June, citing irreconcilable differences, but recently alluded to a potential reason for separating from her husband of almost seven years. "I'm grateful in 2020 for the lesson I learned about...myself," she told her talk show audience. "Even at 38, I feel like I'm always changing and progressing in a good sense, in a good way. And I always want to make sure I'm being the best version of myself. My mom has been telling me since I was a kid: You are who you surround yourself with. You want to make sure you're surrounded by people that also want to be the best versions of themselves and also want a good common goal for everyone, not just themselves, right?"
