Just when we thought March 2020 was officially old news, Joe Exotic has re-entered the chat.
Joe Maldonado-Passage has new representation in Florida-based attorney, John Phillips. Phillips and Amy Hanna with the Law Offices of Phillips & Hunt will lead criminal and civil litigation in Joe's attempt at a new trial.
After the viral success of Netflix's Tiger King, Joe was hoping the attention would help him get a pardon while President Trump was on his way out, but that didn't happen. Joe is currently serving a 22-year sentence for animal abuse and trying to hire a hitman to kill Carole Baskin.
If Joe's new attorney looks familiar, that's because he's used to represent the family of Don Lewis -- Carole Baskin's missing ex-husband. They famously aired a commercial during Dancing with the Stars while Carole was competing.
