Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Have 'Different Visions' For Raising Their Kids

After months of speculation about their relationship, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West, her husband of 7 years, this past Friday (February 19). Neither Kim nor Kanye has commented publicly on their split at this time, however, one source close to the former couple told People their differing visions for the future was one of the main drivers of the breakup.

"They have a different vision of the world and how their kids should be raised," the source revealed. "Kim will always support Kanye and his causes and encourages him with their kids, but her future with work, family and life in general are strictly up to her. She makes it happen."

Despite their differing opinions how the kids should be raised, Kim and Kanye have reportedly already come to a custody agreement. They will share joint legal and physical custody of North (7), Saint (5), Chicago (3) and Psalm (1).

In addition to being in agreement over custody, People also reports neither Kim or Kanye will contest their prenup and they are nearing a settlement. Kim will remain in Calabassas full time, while Kanye will live in Wyoming.

"Kim will continue with her projects and so will Kanye," the source added. "What they want in life and for their kids doesn't always match."

Kim is expected to address her divorce in the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which will premiere later this spring.
